The thrilling and difficult Paiju Peak Expedition invites intrepid mountaineers and adventurers to set out on a trip to conquer the magnificent Paiju Peak. The first successful Pakistani expedition reached the summit of Paiju Peak in 1976, marking a crucial turning point in the history of the expedition. Lt Col Manzoor Hussain (Retd) of the Pakistan Army and the renowned Pakistani mountaineer Nazir Sabir led this groundbreaking accomplishment, which cemented Paiju Peak’s status as a difficult and prestigious ascent in the field of mountaineering.
In the Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan, a little settlement called Askole is the starting point for the expedition to climb Paiju Peak. Skardu is known for its breathtaking natural beauty and rough landscape. It serves as the district’s capital.
