Expedition Beka Brakai Chhok: Taking the Batura Muztagh Majesty
The Beka Brakai Chhok Expedition invites you to an adventurous journey deep inside Pakistan’s Gilgit-Baltistan area. You are invited to visit the Batura Muztagh subrange, which is tucked inside the huge Karakorum Mountain range, on a remarkable tour. The majestic Beka Brakai Chhok peak is a rare gem within this mountainous region, standing tall at an amazing elevation of 6,882 metres (about 22,769 ft).
The lovely Passu Village, situated in the gorgeous Gojal Valley in the Gilgit-Baltistan area, is the closest village to Beka Brakai Chhok. Beka Brakai Chhok, a towering mountain that graces this region to the west of the lovely Hunza Valley, is happy to hold its place among the towering peaks that grace this valley, which is known for its breathtaking vistas.
Climbers Lydia Bradey and Eberhard Jurgalski made one of the most illustrious ascents of Beka Brakai Chhok in 2007, reaching the southern summit of the mountain’s three towers. In the weeks that followed, renowned mountaineers Simone Moro and Herve Barmasse succeeded in reaching the summit, following them. This accomplishment was appropriately described by Jurgalski as “a brilliant ascent by two of the world’s best.”
Some of the most famous peaks in the world, such as the fabled K2 and Gasherbrum, are found in the Karakorum Mountain Range, a vast mountain series that crosses both Pakistan and China. This range, which stretches over 500 kilometres in length and 200 kilometres in width, serves as a natural connector at various points between the Hindu Kush and Himalaya Mountains.
With stunning vistas of the imposing grey-backed peaks and massive glaciers, some of which are among the largest and highest in the world, the Beka Brakai Chhok Expedition promises to be a mesmerising tour through the magnificence of the Karakorum Mountains. The experience normally starts in the Skardu district, the city closest to the mountains, from Askole.
The Beka Brakai Chhok Expedition guarantees an experience that will leave an everlasting impact on your heart and spirit, whether you are an experienced climber or an adventurous traveller wanting to see unspoiled landscapes.
